I was thinking today… about the challenge of change. Have you ever wanted to change your job, your career, your environment or just something in your life? You struggle and finally decide – yes, I’m going for it! I want to change my life to go in this God-honoring direction… and then come the obstacles!
You are hit with financial issues, time constraints, you feel unsupported etc. and you start thinking how much easier it would be to just not make the change, stay with what you know and are comfortable with. You can feel the battle inside and you know you have to choose.
I don’t even think it’s always about the actual surface choice, it’s about the intention behind the choice. It’s about either allowing fear and uncertainty to hold you back or trusting God to help you overcome the obstacles and move forward.
When things get rough it’s so easy to not move and to just stay where we are, but I believe if we feel God is telling us it’s time to move forward then we need to listen to Him. Even what may seem like a small thing – like a job change, can be the catalyst that changes the trajectory of your life because it’s not necessarily about the actual job – it’s about listening and following Gods lead in your life.
You may be on the precipice right now of a decision about something in your life, don’t ignore it – trust God and choose wisely, because it could change everything.
(Psalm 3:3) But you, Lord are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
(Psalm 27:1) The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
(Isaiah 41:13) “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
To God be the Glory,
