WEEKLY WORD – POSSIBILITIES (4/27/21)

I was thinking today…about possibilities. Are we open to God’s possibilities for our lives? Or do we think in a more limited, human viewpoint? Sometimes I think we are too small-minded when it comes to what is possible in our lives to serve God.

If someone comes to me with doubts about God – I tell them to just don’t close the door. Leave the door open, even a crack, to allow God in. Are we open to all that He may be trying to do in our lives? Or do we close the door because we can’t understand how that would be possible. Do we limit ourselves because in our logical minds we can’t figure it all out, and so we dismiss the very idea there could be something more?

With God there are no limits! The bible is full of stories where what we see as impossible, is made possible by God and His plan. We may be thinking – I’d like to start a church class and God may be saying – I want you to start a church movement.

What I’m saying is that we should be open to the far-reaching ideas, not just discard them. God is the ultimate Creator, and anything is possible with Him by our side. Are you willing to open the door wide, ask Him to do what needs to be done in your life, in order for you to do what He wants you to do, to glorify Him here on earth?

(Jeremiah 32:17) “Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

(Jeremiah 32:27) “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

(Job 42:2) “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”

(Matthew 19:26) Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

To God be the Glory,
